Allow me to welcome you to this wonderful platform dedicated to equip the youth with Biblical wisdom that is needed for them to have romantic Christ like relationship that will lead to authentic marriages.
I'm are not the custodian of the wisdom behind Christ like relationships, I'm just intend to humbly share the lessons that I've learned along the way so that my experience can help my generation.
The reason is this, the dating/courtship sphere is the most ignored stage of the journey to marriage yet it is where critical and life-changing decisions are made.
Many separations in marriage that have taken place are due to issues that were ignored and questions that were never asked in the dating and courtship stage.
If you have interacted with the youth, you will discover that their perspective of marriage has greatly been distorted by the elements that have been given so much airtime, enabling them to enter marriage with a serious dose of culture shock and discomfort that has greatly affected their wellbeing.
I’ve personally interacted with so many elders and any efforts towards creating a structure of grooming young people in the relationship has been met with the famous answers “Hao bado wanatangatanga” “Hiyo tutawaambia wakioa” or” Wacha wafike kwa ndoa watajionea.” (They are just playing around)(They will know when they get married)
What they forget is, that dating is a learning stage where you can easily make corrections and amendments either through serious interaction or breakups (which are painful but better) because while in marriage, there is no point of return. What is left in marriage is forever managing the decision that you make. In case of any issue, there is no taking a break or going back unless divorce.
It is my prayer that this platform will heavily invest time, resources, and experience in thoroughly training and grooming our young people so that they can have healthy relationships through authentic dating and courtship that will lead them to a marriage graced with happiness and longevity.
