Hope Beyond Foundation successfully conducted a two day Capacity Building Training for CUC Committee Prosecutors, Gender Desk Police Officers, Children Department Officers, and Community Protection Volunteers, CPVs, to strengthen the prevention and response to FGM, child marriage, and teenage pregnancies.

The training enhanced participants' knowledge and practical skills on key legal frameworks, including the Prohibition of FGM Act, 2011, the Children Act, 2022, and policies on Sexual and Gender Based Violence. Participants also strengthened their capacity in survivor centred case management, case documentation and evidence management, referral pathways, child protection principles, psychosocial first aid, and safe reporting procedures.

Through interactive role plays, case studies, and group discussions, participants exchanged experiences and built stronger coordination among justice and child protection actors. Community Protection Volunteers also received resource kits and were linked to formal case management structures, with the introduction of case tracking at the CUC level in line with Standard Operating Procedures.

Together, we are strengthening community systems to protect every girl from harmful practices and ensure survivors receive timely, coordinated, and quality support.

In Nkama area, we were honored to distribute over 𝟱𝟬 𝗨𝘇𝗶𝗺𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, ensuring families have safe drinking water for the long term. This milestone was made possible through the dedication of our 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿𝘀, whose tireless efforts continue to transform lives.

𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗸𝗮 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮.
Hope Beyond Foundation visited the Baraka area in Illasit to understand the daily challenges faced by this community. During our visit, we spoke with Melvin, who shared that the village has seen a significant rise in waterborne diseases due to highly contaminated water sources.
This ongoing crisis continues to affect the health and productivity of families in Baraka.
Soon they will receive water filters and their lives will change.

𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗸𝗮 𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲, an area we visited early last month is critically suffering from water borne diseases due to unavailability of clean drinking water, their water sources are highly contaminated and unsafe for human consumption.
Thanks to our partners Just One Africa for restoring hope and dignity to the people of baraka, soon the 𝗨𝘇𝗶𝗺𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 are going to be a reality in this area.

🕯️ 𝗞𝘄𝗶𝗯𝘂𝗸𝗮 𝟯𝟮 – 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻

At Hope Beyond Foundation, we pause to remember the countless lives lost during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Among them were 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻, whose innocence and strength were cut short by unimaginable violence.

History reminds us that in times of conflict, women and children always bear the deepest scars through loss, displacement, and broken futures. Their suffering is a call to conscience for all of us.

As we mark 𝗞𝘄𝗶𝗯𝘂𝗸𝗮 𝟯𝟮, we not only mourn but also commit ourselves to action:
