What a glorious milestone to celebrate! 🎉✨
Over the weekend, we joyfully marked the 1st Anniversary of Compassionate Acts Foundation one year of purpose, one year of impact, one year of lives transformed!
The celebration was filled with gratitude and excitement. We danced. We laughed. We reflected on a journey that has been bold, compassionate, and deeply transformative. In just twelve months, we have witnessed incredible change:
✨ Families fed and supported
✨ Youth empowered through digital literacy training
✨ Women equipped with practical skills in weaving and soap-making
✨ Safe spaces created for counselling, healing, and restoration
As our Founder and CEO, Jane Nyambura, so beautifully shared:
“Compassionate Acts Foundation was born to alleviate human suffering through action. We have uplifted families and restored dignity to people who had lost hope. We have empowered youth, women, and girls with skills they can use to create future opportunities.
Our motivation comes from the hummingbird story where a tiny hummingbird chooses to act. It flies to a nearby stream, carries a single drop of water, and places it on the fire to help save the forest. We believe our compassionate acts will create a ripple effect that brings significant change.”

Every Thursday, Compassionate Acts Foundation conducts Income-Generating Activities (IGAs) and livelihood skills training for elderly members of the community. The training focuses on basket weaving, knitting, and soap making, equipping participants with practical skills to enhance their livelihoods and independence.
During the session, we were honoured to host a special guest, Mr. Jaap Kingma from the Netherlands, also a representative from , an organisation whose mission aligns with the goals of Compassionate Acts Foundation.
Speaking during the visit, Mr. Jaap Kingma remarked:
“I am impressed by the good work being done by the Compassionate Acts Foundation team, led by Jane Nyambura, Founder and CEO.
The items produced through the income generating activities are beautiful.
The songs, dances, and smiles shared during the activities reflect the compassion and love the elderly receive at the centre.
The many programmes run by the foundation are life-changing and aimed at eradicating poverty and uplifting communities.”
