Kirwara vocational training centre Is the leading youth polytechnic in the region..and moreso muranga county.

The polytechnic former Kandara Industrial Development centre( I.C.D.C) The institution has already enrolled over 177 students for various training courses that are being offered there namely Motor vehicle mechanic Building Construction, Fashion/ Design, Hairdressing and other life supportive skills. The courses run for two years and are subjected to an examination from the Directorate of Industri

al Training; D.I.T. The courses are:

Motor vehicle mechanic with 28 boys and 2 girls
Fashion/design with 15 girls
Building construction with 19 boys and no girls
Hair dressing with 20 girls and 3 boys
