Experiencing AI refers to interacting with or using artificial intelligence systems that can simulate human-like intelligence, such as learning, reasoning, and problem-solving. These systems can perform tasks like recognizing images, understanding language, and making decisions ΒΉ Β² Β³.

There are various types of AI experiences, including:
- Virtual Assistants: Like Siri, Alexa, or Google Assistant, which can answer questions, play music, and control smart devices.
- Chatbots: AI-powered chat systems that can help with customer service, answer FAQs, or even just chat.
- Image Recognition: Apps that can identify objects, people, or scenes in photos.
- Personalized Recommendations: Like Netflix or Amazon suggestions based on your viewing or purchase history.

π“π‘πž π„π±π©πžπ«π’πžπ§πœπž π€πˆ 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐒𝐧 π–πžπ¬π­πžπ«π§ 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐳𝐚

Following three two-hour online sessions, we successfully delivered the in-person training on 20th December at Siaya National Polytechnic. This marked the first of four planned events aimed at reaching educators across four counties in the Western and Nyanza regions. A total of 92 teachers attended the Siaya all-day session.

Encouragingly, 90% of participants reported feeling equipped and confident to use the free online Experience AI resources to transfer the knowledge and skills gained to their students.

Interest in the programme was overwhelming, with more than 300 teachers expressing a desire to participate. The strong turnout and engagement were made possible through a joint mobilization effort by the Siaya County Ministry of Education and our implementing partner in Siaya, The DALA Hub.

Funded by Google.org, the Experience AI resources have been developed by Google DeepMind in partnership with the Raspberry Pi Foundation.

We are deeply grateful to the Raspberry Pi Foundation for their continued collaboration in advancing digital literacy experiences in Kenya.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the County Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) for their support, with special thanks to Mr. Aluso Albert Owino, MOE County Project Coordinator (SCQASO), for officiating and launching the Experience AI training in Siaya.
