The MenEngage Africa SRHR Learning and Exchange Symposium is a pivotal space for advocates, policymakers, youth leaders, and practitioners to come together in advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Africa.
Day 1 brought several powerful conversations to the fore, with changemakers offering practical insights and perspectives around:
Rewriting Masculinity in the Digital Age — exploring how digital spaces can shape healthier, more positive expressions of masculinity.
Youth as Researchers, Advocates and Agents of Norm Change — amplifying the message: “Our Rights, Our Lives, Our Future.”
Unpacking Intersectionality and Inclusion — recognising the diverse experiences, identities, and realities that must inform meaningful change.
From Missed Opportunity to Strategy — exploring sports as a structured, evidence-informed platform for engaging boys and men as champions in GBV prevention.
Day 1 underscored a common thread: meaningful change requires young people, boys and men to be actively engaged, not only as beneficiaries, but as researchers, advocates, champions and agents of change.
