Every day, we meet young people who are ready to work, ready to learn, and ready to grow but are stuck. Not because they lack potential, but because they lack opportunity.

A young person completes school but has no access to skills training.
Another has a skill, but no pathway to income.
Another has ambition, but no support system.

This is the quiet reality many young people are living in. Not a lack of ability but a lack of access.

At PCI, we believe this should not be the case. Because when a young person is given the right opportunity, everything changes not just for them, but for their family and community.

The question is not whether young people are capable. The question is: Will they get the opportunity they deserve?

For over 20 years, Pathway to Change Initiative (PCI) has worked with young people across communities, supporting them with skills, voice, and opportunities to build better futures.

Like many organizations, we have gone through a difficult period. Changes in the funding landscape meant that long-standing programs came to an end.

Today, we find ourselves at a new beginning. Not because the need has reduced but because it has become even more urgent.
Across our communities, we continue to meet young people who are ready, capable, and determined but lack access to real opportunities.

PCI is now repositioning to respond to this reality. We are rebuilding our work around a simple but powerful focus: “Unlocking opportunities for young people to build their future”.
This is not just a restart. It is a renewal of purpose.

We invite you to walk this journey with us

Eid al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, holds deep significance in Islam.
It commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God's command, which was ultimately replaced with a ram. During this joyous occasion, Muslims around the world gather for prayers, share festive meals with family and friends, and give to those in need through charitable acts.
It is a time of reflection, gratitude, and solidarity, emphasizing the importance of faith, sacrifice, and community bonds in the Islamic faith.
Eid Mubarak!

We regret to announce the death of one of our alumnus. Fred Omondi was a strong pillar in the early years of this organization formerly known as UCAHA youth group. As a member of the youth group, Fred brought life into our magnet theatre group "badilika arts" which led to several trophies and awards for the organization. Badilika championed for the prevention of HIV and addressed stigma and discrimination when many kept away from the HIV conversation. His charm and creativity remains a deep memory in the organization. We are proud to have been part of the nurturing process that led to a big brand in the comedy industry. Rest in peace comrade.

Menstrual health is human rights issue, not just a health one. The ability to care for a girl's body while menstruating is an essential part of this fundamental freedom. Yet millions of girls lack access to menstrual products. This year with the theme in mind "Together for a ", we should work towards making the world a period free and friendly space for our young girls and women.

Many young girls often battle to access sanitary pads, this leaves them feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed. What can we do help?
Pathway to Change Initiative sets out to collect sanitary pads as from April to May( which is the menstrual hygiene month).
Our target is to 1000 young girls with sanitary pads, we therefore invite you for pad drive camping which runs from 18th April to 28th May 2024. One sanitary pad costs 80bob. Usiachwe nyuma!!!
Don't wait for a girl to become a woman to empower her. Empower a girl's life by giving sanitary pads to them.
Give her pad, Give her wings!!
