WHAT WE DO:

We feed, cloth, teach, and care for children that have been orphaned due to losing their parents for a variety of reasons such as war, poverty, runaways and abandonment. Our children are vulnerable for a variety of reasons. Some are disabled, come from abusive families, struggle with drugs, and some are victims of ethnic violence. Some are functionally orphaned (still have living parents), but the majority are truly, literally, orphans.

OUR PLEA.
We have come to know about the agenda to support such activities in this region to take part in the local social development. In this regard, we humbly offer you to sponsor and support our initiative through our projects. The current situation here . Am Douglas Oyaro 32 years old Married since 2018 Blessed with a daughter 6yrs old.

I’m the first born in the family of Four.

I was raised in the humble village in Kisii County western Kenya, Africa.

I was officially called into ministry in the year 2012 as a youth teacher in our church. We grew up in abject poverty and many nights we could go without food. Sometimes mum will boil warm water just to hold our stomachs. Mama shed tears watching us suffer. Our father was an addict of alcohol and made home wild for us. At one point we were homeless because Dad could kick us out just to be able to sell any little thing available.

Mama is full of compassion and always taught us to love and share however little we had.

When dad finally accepted God mama started a rescue feeding center for young babies that were homeless. I remember our home having tens of children sharing a small room and no mattress no blankets but we used to be happy to be under roof.
The orphanage is mama’s mission and she chose me and my brother out of the Four siblings to continue it after she fall sick and unable to do anything because of numerous head surgeries due to injuries of carrying too much in her head.

From 2017 we had a donor who helped build ministry, Mr Gregory From South Hampton , UK, but lack of Job affected him in doing projects and working with us fully. Since then everything has been tight and hard because he was the main supporter. At some point I had thought of quitting but mum and the promise i gave to my Lord of always being there for this destitute needy kids keeps me hanging on.

The orphanage is called Emmanuel Baptist Orphanage because we care and hope for our provisions from the Almighty God.
It has been a tough journey but we know the crown is huge at the end. The need is too overwhelming and we can only do so much
