Kenya’s mental health crisis is urgent. Depression, su***de, and other conditions account for 13% of the national disease burden, costing the country Kshs. 62.2B annually in lost productivity (Taskforce on Mental Health, 2020; Ministry of Health, 2021).

The WHO QualityRights framework calls for transformation toward person-centered, rights-based care ensuring dignity, inclusion, and informed consent.

At Integrative Wellbeing (IW), we’re turning these recommendations into action in four practical steps:
1️⃣ Community Inclusion
Connecting service users to local support systems.
2️⃣ Rights-Based Care
Promoting dignity, legal capacity, and informed consent.
3️⃣ Youth Empowerment
Training youth ambassadors through community-centered initiatives.
4️⃣ Collaborative Advocacy Partnering with organizations to scale awareness and access.

Together, we can transform Kenya’s mental health landscape one conversation, one community, one act of care at a time. 💚
