ACA is an NGO established in 2001 to contribute to a quest for peace in society.

Amani Communities Africa (ACA), in partnership with TUSHIRIKIANE AFRICA TRUST , successfully delivered a 40-hour Mediation and Conflict Transformation Course, bringing together 18 participants—14 of them pastors and influential community leaders.

Through this engagement, we strengthened local peacebuilding capacity by equipping leaders with practical mediation skills and tools for constructive dialogue. The result? More informed, compassionate, and capable voices driving reconciliation and healing within communities.

At ACA, we believe lasting peace begins at the grassroots. By empowering trusted leaders, we are nurturing spaces where conflict is transformed into understanding, coexistence, and hope. 🤝

From Friday to Sunday last week, we had a busy yet deeply impactful weekend during the Mediation Training of Trainers held at the Centre of Inculturation in Mariapolis Piero Juja .

Over the past weeks, we had the privilege of training mediators at the Centre. This past weekend marked an important next step; training the trainers. At Amani Communities Africa, we believe that building the capacity of trainers multiplies impact and allows the culture of dialogue and mediation to reach even more communities.

👏 We are delighted to celebrate 16 newly certified trainers who successfully completed the course. They are now equipped and ready to train others, strengthening mediation, reconciliation, and peacebuilding efforts within their communities.

Our sincere gratitude to the Centre of Inculturation for Inculturation, Mariapolis Piero for the partnership, trust, and commitment to promoting a culture of peace.

On Saturday, we proudly joined women from different generations to celebrate International Women’s Day under this year’s inspiring theme, “Give to Gain.” 💜✨

It was a unique and beautiful gathering where women came together with enthusiasm, wisdom, and powerful stories of service to society. Our panel discussion brought forward voices of women who have truly embodied the spirit of giving to gain.

We were deeply inspired by Mama Zipporrah, who for over 42 years has dedicated her life to running a children’s home, offering love, care, and hope to orphaned children. Her lifelong commitment to humanity reminded us that compassion can transform lives.

We also heard from Madam Terry Kaguchia, a passionate advocate for children with disabilities, especially those living with autism. Her tireless dedication to supporting children who are often neglected or segregated by society was both touching and powerful.

Equally inspiring was a young Gen Z leader who graduated from the Transforming to Transform mentorship program. Coming from Maasai land, where gender-based violence remains a challenge, she is now mentoring other young women and advocating for change in her community.

Listening to these remarkable women reminded us that investing in women—through opportunities, empowerment, and inclusion—creates lasting benefits for all. When women’s voices are heard and their leadership supported, communities grow stronger and peace becomes more possible.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible partners Sustainable Futures Africa Foundation and Women Regional Network Kenya for making this celebration vibrant, meaningful, and impactful.

Together, we continue to celebrate women who give their strength, leadership, and vision for a better tomorrow. 💜🌍
