Empowering Pupils Through Art and Play at Nakurto Lukuny Primary School – A Step Towards Ending FGM.
Linda Arts Organization, under the Art for Life project and with the support of the The Girl Generation – Support to the Africa-Led Movement to End FGM program, had the privilege of engaging with pupils at Nakurto Lukuny Primary School in Suswa, Narok East.
Through the interactive Zero FGM Quest game, learners explored themes of child rights and the importance of speaking out against harmful practices like Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM). The pupils participated with excitement, curiosity, and a genuine willingness to learn demonstrating the power of creative tools in shaping safe, informed communities.
This session is part of our ongoing commitment to use art, storytelling, and community dialogue to raise awareness and spark change at the grassroots. By integrating play and education, we create safe spaces for children to understand their rights and be part of conversations that matter.
We are grateful to the dedicated staff of Nakurto Lukuny Primary, the pupils who embraced the session with open hearts, and our partners at TGG-ALM for enabling us to continue this vital work.
Together, we believe in a future where every child grows up safe, confident, and free from FGM.
