Today, the Amref and Afyafrika team paid a courtesy visit to the Narok County Commissioner, Mr. Kipkech Lotiatia, and the County Health Department led by County Director Dr. Kioo to brief them on the Future4Binti Program.
The meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen collaboration and reaffirm our shared commitment to improving the wellbeing and opportunities for girls and young women in Narok County.

Today marks memorable day in the history.Maasai elders drawn from 17 clans in Narok and Kajiado counties publicly committed and declared to end FGM and child marriage at Suswa Girls, Narok County, at a forum officiated by H.E. First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto. The elders vowed to unequivocally, affirming that there will be blessings for ALL girls and embracing the Alternative Rites of Passage.

This culminated in the official launch of the My Dear Daughter Campaign to in Kenya as the nation commenced the . My Dear Daughter campaign bring mothers, elders, fathers, brothers, survivors and everybody to publicly commit to abandoning FGM and protecting girls’ rights.
