Today likii wrua members took part in an insightful training session supported by the Water resource authority.The session focused on sensitizing the community on the new water regulations 2025 and the water and storage act 2025.We have really seen that there is need to sensitize our community so as to bridge the gap between knowledge and information which will ensure everyone understands and takes part in responsible water management.

Today, we had the pleasure of hosting a courtesy visit from the Water Integrity Network (WIN), based in Berlin, Germany. During their visit, they engaged our team and several key stakeholders within our catchment area through interviews and discussions. The purpose of the visit was to assess the capacity of our Water Resources Users Association (WRUA) and explore potential collaboration on upcoming water stewardship projects.

We were pleased with the active participation and representation from our stakeholders, whose presence and contributions were commendable. We are optimistic about the outcomes of this engagement and look forward to possible partnerships that will strengthen our efforts in sustainable water resource management.

Today we have carried out our weekly river health monitoring exercise along the likii river.We assess basic water quality indicators such as turbidity, Temperature,ph levels and presence of nitrates and phosphates.This Hands on monitoring not only generated valuable data for environmental management but also strengthened community awareness and ownership of local water resources.
