What happens when healthcare meets agriculture? 🤝🌱
Mark your calendars for March 27th! We are teaming up with Kwetu Care Foundation for the Mama & Tots Medical Camp.
🌳🥦 We’ll be teaching them how to set up zero-space kitchen gardens right at home so their toddlers have fresh, organic food all year round.

Want to help us reach more mothers? Send us a DM to sponsor or donate a batch of seedlings for the camp! 📥👇

Stigma stops people from seeking help.
Awareness opens the door to treatment, support, and dignity.
Let’s use today to educate ourselves and others. True change begins with understanding.

Let’s learn. Let’s talk. Let’s break the silence.

Today is World Cervical Cancer Day, a reminder to every woman, sister, mother, friend: your health matters.

Cervical cancer is preventable, and early action makes all the difference.

At IVA Africa and Kwetu Care Foundation, we’re working together to ensure women have the right information, know where to get screened, and can easily navigate the healthcare system without confusion or fear.

Here’s what we’re doing together:
• Making cervical cancer information easy to understand
• Providing screening services in our community medical camps
• Guiding women on where to get screened
• Supporting follow-up after results
• Connecting women to care or treatment when needed
• Ensuring women in hard-to-reach areas also receive lifesaving education, because information is power, and no one should be left behind

Screening basics:
👉 Pap smear every 3 years from age 25
👉 HPV test for women aged 30–49

What you can do today:
✨ Book that screening
✨ Ask your doctor the questions you’ve been avoiding
✨ Make sure girls aged 9–14 get the HPV vaccine
✨ Share this reminder with someone who needs it

Prevention isn’t complicated, we just need to start.

As Pink October comes to a close, we’ve been thinking back on the moments that have shaped our journey this year. 💗

From our community health outreaches to the Mama & Toto camps, we’ve sat with mothers who opened up about their fears, their health, and their hopes for their families.

One moment that truly stood out was a heartfelt talk in September by Jannine Law on HPV and cervical cancer - an honest conversation that reminded us just how powerful awareness can be when women feel safe to ask questions and share their stories. Jannine, you are a gem, thank you for sharing your heart and knowledge with our mothers.

For us at Kwetu Care Foundation, Pink October isn’t just about ribbons or campaigns. It’s about keeping these conversations alive; making women’s health a year-round priority through care, connection, and community.

The month may be ending, but our work continues - one story, one conversation, and one life at a time. 🌸

September at Kwetu Care Foundation was all about mums and their tots.

We held two Mama & Toto medical camps for mothers from the settlement areas around Nanyuki; including Likii, Kanyoni, and Majengo. It was a time to connect, learn, and provide care together.

Alongside our amazing partners, volunteers, and supporters, our doctors, nutritionists, and mental health specialists showed up with so much heart. They didn’t just treat; they listened. They took time to understand the worries, exhaustion, and hopes that so many mums carry every day.

From ultrasounds and family planning to vitamins, medication, breast pumps, and diapers, every small act of care made a difference.

What stood out most were the smiles. Mums leaving with lighter hearts, feeling seen and heard. That’s what this work is about; compassion, dignity, and community.

When women are supported, families grow stronger, and communities thrive.

Grateful to everyone who helped make these moments possible; our partners, volunteers, and the Kwetu Care team who always show up with joy and dedication.

Two weeks ago, our team was at Mugumo Dispensary in Laikipia for a Dental and Vision Care Medical Camp, where we served over 90 patients.

We didn’t just offer dental check-ups and vision screenings , we also discovered many people had high blood pressure. Some already knew, but couldn’t easily access treatment because the facilities with the needed medication were too far. Others were learning about it for the first time.

In those moments, we provided health education and guidance, helping families understand the importance of managing their health.

This is why our work matters: we bring healthcare closer to where our communities are and empower them with knowledge and care.

We believe that everyone deserves to have access to proper healthcare.

Happy International Nurses Week to all our amazing nurses. Thank you for all that you do. We celebrate you! ❤️❤️
