Today, more than 25 thousand kids below 15 years go to school in the Mukogodo Ecosystem(Laikipia North, Samburu east and Isiolo north). These kids depend on the school feeding program to listen, write and actively participate in classes as most them come to school hungry and malnourished.
However, the challenges of globally has affected the consistency of food supply for the school feeding program as most of these supplies are sourced outside the local communities.
Here at Actnow-Kenya , we saying no to this. We are working with schools in rural areas to set up vegetable gardens to supplement meals needs, capacity development kids in nutrition classes and restore idle school compounds.
