Congratulations to David and Christine, recognized today for their dedication to the profession. And a special shoutout to Esther Apetet, who took to the mic and represented rangers across Laikipia with her speech.

This is our first ever post as Lolldaiga Conservancy!

And there is no better way to start than by introducing six women who protect this land every single day.

All six of our female rangers come from the communities surrounding Lolldaiga. They monitor wildlife, and work the ops room to protect both the animals and the relationship between this conservancy and the people who call this place home.

Globally, women make up only around 11% of the ranger workforce. This week: World Female Ranger Week, exists to change that, and to make sure stories like theirs are told.
