Last Monday, LCCJA took a letter to the Department of Water, Environment & Natural Resources - Laikipia County with the following demands for information on the newly elected ward environmental committee's:

1.When were the public participations advertised?
2.Which mediums were used to advertise and create awareness about the public
participations?
3.What criteria were used to determine the quorum required for an election to
take place?
4.We request a published list of the elected ward climate change committees from
all the wards to be shared on your social media platforms and the county
government's website.
5.Could you provide information on the budget allocated for the sensitization and
election of the committees, as well as how it was utilized?

We're waiting for them to respond and we will share the information with the relevant authorities for a follow up.
