Shulmai Conservancy is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) meetings held in Loirien and Seek villages together with the community leaders forum. We sincerely thank all community members, elders, youth, women, local leaders, and stakeholders who participated and shared their views throughout the consultation process.

This milestone reflects the importance of community participation in decision-making. Shulmai Conservancy remains committed to working hand in hand with the investor to ensure the project is implemented responsibly, respectfully, and in a way that delivers lasting benefits to the community while promoting conservation and sustainable development.

Together, we are building a stronger future for our people and our natural heritage.

Shulmai Community Conservancy hosted a stakeholder meeting on Human Well-being Indicator Identification for the Landscape Restoration Carbon Laikipia Conservancies Association Project, implemented in collaboration with The Nature Conservancy

The meeting brought together community representatives and stakeholders to identify key indicators that will help measure and improve the social and economic well-being of local communities as landscape restoration efforts progress. Through open dialogue and active participation, participants shared valuable insights to ensure that restoration initiatives deliver meaningful and lasting benefits to the people who depend on these landscapes.

At Shulmai Community Conservancy, we believe that successful conservation goes hand in hand with improved livelihoods, community participation, and sustainable development.

We sincerely appreciate LCA, TNC, and all participants for their commitment to building a resilient landscape and a prosperous future for our communities.
