At EcoAfya Organics, some days the reality of our work hits hard.
Standing before heaps of rotting organic waste, food that was once destined to nourish families — reminds us of the painful truth of food loss and waste. 💔

Yet, even in this reality, we find hope.

🌿 Eco Afya Organics at the Africa Health Collaborative (AHC) Afya Fest 2025! 🌍

EcoAfya Organics was honored to take part in the Africa Health Collaborative (AHC) Afya Fest 2025 held in Nairobi, Kenya. Led by our Environmental Health Lead and Co-Founder, we proudly showcased our innovative solution that sustainably transforms nuisance organic waste into valuable organic farm inputs. 🌱

Our goal is simple yet powerful — to reduce deadly methane emissions released by decomposing organic waste in landfills, which contribute to over 1 million deaths every year (CCAC, 2021).

By diverting organic waste from landfills and repurposing it into organic farming inputs, we are not only mitigating climate and health risks but also enhancing soil health, promoting sustainable agriculture, and improving food and nutrition security across communities. 🥦🌾

Together, we can turn waste into wealth, and build a healthier, greener planet. 💚♻️
