RSP is situated in Kaimosi Mission and is managed by an Advisory Committee with members drawn from the 16 yearly Meetings of the Friends Church in Kenya. Founded by E.A.Y.M of Friends to serve the poor and marginalized communities in western Kenya. The programme is run by the Programme Coordinator who is in-charge of administration, the Deputy Coordinator is also in-charge of Field Supervision,
Project Nurse in-charge of community Health Development, the Agricultural Officer in-charge of Agricultural Extension Department, and the information Officer in-charge of information and documentation Department. The project has 14 Field Officers in the core target areas that are in direct link with the community. The on-going activities are being financed by Bread for the World,Germany Quakers,Netherlands yearly meeting,America,Kenya Horticultural Development Project(KHDP) and the 16 yearly meeting of Friends. Our main interventions are in Advocacy, guiding and counsellig,training communities on home based care,iniating income generating activities,creating awareness on PLWAs working with lobby groups.
