Dear Friends,
After relocating Melon Mission School to its permanent land, I intentionally stepped back from being very active here and instead spent the last three years working quietly behind the scenes on exploring different ways to strengthen Melon’s long-term sustainability.
We were fortunate to still have access to the old land through a lease, and in 2022 we established Bjoy Enterprise on that same site slowly transforming the former school compound into a small cottage industry.
Some of you have already visited the enterprise and seen the work taking place there, and I’m truly grateful for your support along the way.
I would also like to sincerely thank Rob and James, who so kindly supported the establishment and first phase of this journey.
Since its establishment, Bjoy has been operating on a small scale as we learned, tested, and grew into the venture. We are now ready to begin the second and final funding phase, after which the enterprise will be able to operate at full capacity.
Like many grassroots initiatives, Melon has faced ongoing funding challenges, and this enterprise is one of the practical steps we are taking to strengthen long-term sustainability rather than rely solely on short-term support.
It is also designed to create employment and skills within the local community.
I would like to kindly invite friends who may feel led to partner with us as we take this next step.
I’ve attached a short video that explains the vision more clearly, along with a link below for anyone who would like to support in any way.
Thank you so much for walking this journey with us.
