🌍💧 NATURE’S INVISIBLE ENGINEERS

Beneath the waters of Lake Naivasha, there are millions of tiny living things called microorganisms—so small you cannot see them with your eyes. 🦠🌿 One example is cyanobacteria, which are bacteria that behave a bit like algae.

Even though they are invisible, they play a very important role. They help break down and recycle nutrients and carbon in the water, which keeps the lake healthy and supports all other life in the ecosystem.

This natural balance can be easily disturbed. Pollution, sewage, and too many nutrients from human activities can harm these microorganisms and damage the whole lake system.

🌳 Protect the catchment area around the lake.
💧 Protect the lake’s water.
🚯 Reduce pollution and waste.
🌱 Protect these invisible but important living helpers.

A healthy ecosystem depends on both the life we can see and the tiny life we cannot see.

🌱 World Environment Day 2026 – Climate Action 🌍

Yesterday, Team Climate Change Naivasha in collaboration with Naivasha stakeholders successfully celebrated World Environment Day at Naivasha Boys Boarding Primary School through a tree-growing exercise and environmental engagement with our young brothers.

We sincerely thank the Assistant County Commissioner Naivasha, Naivasha Medium Prison, NEMA Naivasha, Eden Thriving, ECDE Coordination Office, Naivasha Probation Office, KWS, Viwandani Ward Administrator, Office of the MCA Viwandani Ward, and the entire Naivasha Boys Boarding fraternity for making the event a success.

Together, we are growing a greener future. 🌳
