SERVICE PROJECT | Book Donation & Christmas Cheer at Kamiti YCTC 🎄📚

This Saturday, 6 Dec 2025 (9am–1pm) we make our final service visit of 2025. In partnership with Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), we’ll bring Christmas cheer to 145 boys at Kamiti Youth Corrective Training Centre (YCTC) — because books don’t judge, they teach. ✨

Items Needed 🙌:
• 📘 CBC textbooks (Grades 5–9) & 8-4-4 textbooks (Forms 2–4)
• 🛏️ Mattresses (3x6)
• 👕👟 Clothing & shoes (ages 13–21) + 🩴 Crocs
• 🧼🪥 Toiletries: soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste

Thank you, DGE Saad, for championing community-led solutions and standing with Rotary Club of Kilimani Alfajiri as we bring assistive technology and accessible learning to MTIB. Together, we’re scaling impact—with purpose and accountability.

We did it, Team RCKA! 🎉
On Saturday, 4 Oct 2025, we launched Phase I of the MTIB Smart Library—a project imagined, mobilised, and delivered by the Rotary Club of Kilimani Alfajiri.

Heartfelt congratulations to our President Fridah Kowido and Service Director Dr. Maggie for their steady leadership; our Past Presidents and Past Service Directors for laying a strong foundation; and the entire RCKA membership whose time, treasure, and tenacity turned a bold idea into a working reality.

What Phase I delivered: adapted computers with screen readers, audio learning tools, Braille-compatible systems, white canes, and Braille materials—opening doors to equitable, tech-enabled learning for blind and low-vision students.
