Healing after violence begins with safety, dignity, and compassionate care. For survivors, the ability to start again depends on access to a safe space, psychosocial support, legal protection, healthcare, and opportunities to rebuild their lives.
Today, MOYOTE is honoured to receive beds and bedding generously donated by the UNFPA and Kenya Red cross through Nairobi city county government (NCCG). This timely contribution strengthens our safe house and increases our capacity to provide survivors with the safety, comfort, and dignity they deserve as they begin their healing journey.
Every bed and every bedding item represent more than comfort—they are symbols of hope, protection, and a new beginning. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the NCCG,Kenya Red Cross and UNFPA for standing with survivors and supporting our mission to restore lives and protect women and girls from violence.
Together, we are creating safe spaces where healing begins and hope is restored.

African women we are not saying "No" to ending violence against women and girls. We are saying "Yes" to a stronger, rights-based Convention that protects every woman and girl.
Before ratification, we call for meaningful consultation, independent review, and alignment with the Maputo Protocol.
Pause. Revise. Strengthen. Then Ratify.

What does success look like when it comes to delaying sexual debut among adolescents? It means reducing teenage pregnancies, preventing gender-based violence (GBV), and lowering new HIV infections. Keeping adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) meaningfully engaged is not optional,it is essential.
MOYOTE Maarifa Girls dance clues are stepping into that space with confidence and purpose. As they prepare to participate in a dance competition in Kitengela, they are not just showcasing talent,they are building self-esteem, connection, and positive pathways for their future. We look forward to seeing them shine doing what they love most.

What does “age-appropriate SRHR information” really mean?
It means giving the right information, at the right time, in the right way
For younger children:
Simple lessons about their bodies, boundaries, and respect.
For adolescents:
Clear, honest conversations about puberty, relationships, consent, and protection.
For young adults:
Deeper knowledge on reproductive health, rights, choices, and access to services.
Age-appropriate SRHR is not about “too much too soon”it’s about protecting, empowering, and preparing young people step by step.
Silence creates confusion.
Information builds confidence and safety.
Let’s create spaces where young people can ask, learn, and grow without fear.
