The National Student Budget Forum was officially launched at Kenya School of Monetary Studies, a milestone event championed by the Treasury Cabinet Secretary FCPA John Mbadi.
This transformative forum marked a major step forward in ensuring inclusive representation in national budget conversations. Through collective advocacy, we successfully pushed for the inclusion of key institutions such as The Kenya School of Law, Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), and all accredited, TVET institutions
in discussions surrounding funding, access, and equitable financial support for learners.
This forum is vital because it promotes among young people, enhances transparency and accountability, and empowers students to contribute actionable ideas that influence national planning and . It ensures that students are not passive recipients but active participants in shaping the future of Kenyaโs education landscape.As USLA, we proudly take up the responsibility of amplifying the
voice,ensuring that no institution or learner is left out of critical conversations that determine funding and policy direction. By doing so, we help secure the future and sustainability of higher learning institutions across the country.
The program will be rolled out across seven additional regions, allowing students nationwide to stay connected to key decision-making processes and champion reforms that impact their educational journey.
