What does genuine co-design really demand?
For us at AfriScout, it starts with one simple principle: Listen to the community and design with them-not for them.
Successful solutions must respond to the real needs, priorities, and realities of the people they are meant to serve.
Watch our Operations Director, Hellen Mutogoh, share her thoughts on what genuine co-design looks like in practice.

Through Afriscout Regen, pastoralist communities are taking lead in planning, managing and monitoring grazing activities using adaptive grazing practices to restore rangelands, improve livestock productivity, and build resilience for the future.
The Community owns the process. The Community drives the change.
Listen in as some of our members give clear details on what happens on the ground.

AfriScout was proud to participate in the National Conference for the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists (IYRP) 2026 at Enchula Resort, Kajiado County.

We had the opportunity to showcase AfriScout Steward, our digital platform that helps pastoralists make informed grazing decisions, and AfriScout Regen, our regenerative grazing initiative implemented with Millennium Water Alliance (MWA) and FH Kenya in Hurri Hills and Elebor, Marsabit County.

It was an honor to welcome distinguished visitors to our booth, including Hon. Jonathan Mueke, Principal Secretary for the State Department for Livestock Development, and other stakeholders committed to strengthening Kenya's rangelands.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn more about our work. Together, we're building more resilient rangelands and pastoral communities.

🌍 Happy World Environment Day from Afriscout! 🌿

Theme: Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.

Today, we celebrate the deep bond between pastoralist communities and the land they steward.

For generations, herders have been the original environmental guardians—reading the skies, protecting grasslands, and moving herds in harmony with nature. But climate change has made even centuries of wisdom harder to rely on.

That's why Afriscout exists: to bridge tradition with technology, helping pastoralists make informed grazing decisions that:
✅ Protect fragile ecosystems from overgrazing
✅ Reduce herd losses and resource conflicts
✅ Keep families thriving on the land they love
When pastoralists thrive, the environment thrives. 🐄🌱

To our users across Kenya, Ethiopia, and Tanzania: you are the frontline of climate resilience. Every informed decision you make helps restore rangelands and secure our shared future.

To our partners and supporters: thank you for standing with communities who protect our planet every single day.

This World Environment Day, let's remember: sustainable grazing isn't just good for livestock—it's good for the Earth.
