CDTD is pleased to be represented at the 10th East Africa Philanthropy Conference, taking place from 16–20 June 2026 at the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
This year’s theme, “Anchoring Systems in an Era of Transition,” speaks directly to the work we continue to do with domestic workers, care workers, migrant workers, survivors of trafficking, rescued girls, and community-based protection systems.
For CDTD, systems change is not abstract. It is built through community trust, survivor-centred services, decent work advocacy, safe labour migration pathways, shelter systems, skills development, and partnerships that place affected communities at the centre of decision-making.
Our Lead – Decent Work and Labour Migration, Kimani Chris, will be engaging with practitioners, philanthropy actors, and partners on how philanthropy can better support locally rooted, rights-based, and sustainable systems.
We look forward to learning, connecting, and sharing CDTD’s experience in building community-led responses that outlast individual projects and contribute to lasting change.
Let’s connect on community philanthropy, decent work, and systems change.
