At Heart of Compassion, we believe that when you give a woman a new skill, you aren’t just giving her a hobby—you’re giving her a key to a new life. 🔑

Financial independence is the foundation of confidence and security. By teaching sustainable, marketable skills, we are helping women transition from "getting by" to "getting ahead." Whether it’s artisanal crafting, digital literacy, or professional trade skills, these women are proving that they have the talent; they just needed the opportunity. 📈

A beautiful and impactful day at Heart of Compassion Kenya❤️

Today we were honored to host a volunteer psychotherapist from France who spent time with our wonderful women through group counseling, soap making, singing, and dancing 💃🏽🎶

The session helped ease stress, build confidence, and create joy and connection among the women. It was truly a fun and meaningful experience that brought smiles, healing, and empowerment.

We are deeply grateful for the love, time, and support shared with our community. Together we continue to uplift and strengthen women.

Today, every step we took carried a child’s dream. 🏃‍♀️📚❤️

In partnership with The Rise CBO, Heart of Compassion Kenya joined a marathon not just to run, but to raise school fees and school essentials for vulnerable children in our community.

Behind every child we support is a real story.
A child who sometimes misses school because fees are unpaid.
A child who lacks basic school essentials like uniforms, books, or shoes.
A child raised by a struggling parent or guardian doing everything they can.

Yet despite these challenges, these children still believe that education can change their future.

So today we ran for them.
We ran for hope.
We ran so that no child has to stay home while others go to school.

But the run is only the beginning. The real change happens when compassionate people like you choose to stand with these children.

We successfully held our Pilot Porridge Feeding Program for small vulnerable children at Word City School from Wetemere Village and Zimmerman in Roysambu, Nairobi, Kenya.

✨ 23 small children reached
🥣 Nutritious porridge served

🎨 Games, colouring & mentorship moments

The half-term pilot was beautiful — and the need is clear.

We plan to launch the full daily holiday feeding program this April when schools close.

🌟 Pilot Porridge Feeding Program – Making Every Holiday Count 🌟

During this school half-term break, we were blessed to host our Pilot Porridge Feeding Program for vulnerable small children at Word City School from Wetemere Village and Zimmerman in Roysambu, Nairobi Kenya.

23 small children attended, and the day was full of smiles, learning, and nourishment.

The children enjoyed:
🥣 Nutritious porridge
🍌 Bananas
🥭 Mangoes
🍪 Biscuits
🎨 Colouring activities
🎲 Games and fun moments
💬 Mentorship and encouragement

This pilot has shown us the great need that exists during school holidays. Our goal is to roll out the full daily feeding program during the April holidays so that vulnerable small children can continue receiving warm, nutritious porridge meals every day when schools are closed.

Today was such a special day for our children at Word City School!

Heart of Compassion Kenya had the privilege of joining them for their swimming activity — and what a beautiful experience it was! For many of our children, this was more than just swimming. It was about:

✨ Building confidence
✨ Learning new life skills
✨ Overcoming fear
✨ Experiencing joy
✨ Feeling included

Seeing their smiles, courage, and excitement reminded us why we do what we do. At Heart of Compassion Kenya, we believe every child deserves exposure, opportunity, and holistic development — not just education, but experiences that shape their confidence and future.

Today, we walked alongside mothers of vulnerable children through psychosocial support and mentorship, creating a safe space for healing, hope, and encouragement. What began last year as soap-making training has now become a source of real income—this year, these mothers are proudly earning by selling the soap they make.
