Some victories are not measured by the final score ,they are measured by the lives we touch. ❤️⚽

On 25th July 2026, Freed to Heal was honoured to partner with Fútbolmas, in collaboration with MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières – France) and with support from the Kenya Red Cross, for a football tournament that brought together learners from Destiny School and Valley View School in Mathare.

While football united us on the field, our greater mission was to spark meaningful conversations around Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and nurture the mental wellbeing of every child present. Through interactive mental health sessions, we encouraged the children to speak up, support one another, and understand that every voice matters.

The laughter, teamwork, curiosity, and joy we witnessed reminded us that when we invest in children's wellbeing today, we build stronger, safer communities for tomorrow.

To our incredible partners, thank you for believing in the power of collaboration to create lasting impact.

Together, we are not just changing conversations ,we are changing lives.

There can be no brighter tomorrow if we fail the children of today." 💚🌍

On 20th June 2026, Freed to Heal, in partnership with Wakili wa Watoto , had the honour of celebrating the Day of the African Child with the vibrant children and families of Mathare .

What began as a celebration became a powerful reminder that every child deserves to grow up feeling safe, valued, heard, and empowered. Through child protection awareness, environmental stewardship, learning, play, and shared meals, we celebrated not only the joy of childhood but also the responsibility we all share in protecting it.

To every volunteer, partner, supporter, and community member who made this day possible, thank you . Your kindness is helping shape a future where every child has the opportunity to dream, thrive, and become all they were created to be.

Because when we invest in children, we invest in a better world. Every child matters.💛

Today, we celebrate the fathers, father figures, and mentors whose love, guidance, and sacrifices shape lives every single day.

A father's presence can inspire confidence, provide comfort, and create a foundation upon which children thrive. Beyond providing, fathers nurture dreams, build resilience, and leave a legacy of love that lasts for generations.

At Freed to Heal, we honor and appreciate all fathers and father figures who continue to show up with strength, compassion, and unwavering support.

Happy Father's Day to all the amazing dads. Thank you for all that you do. 💚

A child who feels safe today becomes a confident leader tomorrow.

As we celebrate the Day of the African Child, we are reminded that every child deserves more than just a future, they deserve the opportunity to dream, learn, grow, and thrive.

On 20th June, Freed to Heal, in partnership with Wakili wa Watoto Club, will come together with children and community members for a day dedicated to child safety awareness, learning, fun, environmental care, and empowerment.

Together, we can help create a world where every child feels seen, protected, and valued.

Because when we invest in our children, we invest in a brighter future for all.

Every child matters.

Last Saturday, 11th April, Freed to Heal spent a truly meaningful and uplifting day with our caregivers and their children 💙

In partnership with "Therapists Beyond Borders", we had the privilege of offering physical therapy sessions for the children and gift packages. Beyond the services provided, the day became a beautiful space of connection, care, and shared humanity.

The atmosphere was filled with warmth, laughter, and genuine conversations. It was evident throughout the day that this was more than an organized activity, it felt like a community coming together as one family. Seeing caregivers relax, engage, and feel supported was deeply encouraging.

Caregivers play an essential role in our society, often dedicating themselves to others with little recognition. This gathering was a small but important reminder that they are seen, valued, and appreciated for the incredible work they do.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Therapists Beyond Borders for their partnership and commitment, as well as to all our friends and supporters whose continued generosity makes moments like these possible.

We are reminded once again that healing is strengthened through community, compassion, and shared presence 🤍

What if we designed our cities from 95cm high — the perspective of a child?

Last week, Freed to Heal had the privilege of attending the Africa Urban Forum at Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) . The conversations were a powerful reminder that the way we build our environments directly shapes how people live, feel, and connect.

Some key reflections we’re carrying forward:

✔️ Cities should be designed around real, everyday human needs
✔️ Safe and accessible public spaces are essential for wellbeing
✔️ Vision is important , but intentional implementation is what creates impact
✔️ Data should be human-centered, driving solutions that truly serve communities

These conversations deeply resonate with our work in mental health. Because healing doesn’t happen in isolation ,it is influenced by the spaces we live in, the safety we feel, and the communities around us.

A special thank you to Amollo Ambole for the kind invitation and for championing such meaningful dialogue.

Grateful to be part of a movement that is reimagining African cities with people at the center 💙

Nature, connection, and a shared purpose 🌿

The Freed to Heal team stepped away from the routine and into Karura Forest for a refreshing team-building experience ,filled with laughter, honest conversations, and meaningful moments.

In the work we do, pouring into others is at the heart of it all. But this was a reminder that we, too, need space to recharge, reconnect, and strengthen the bonds that keep us grounded.

Because when the team is aligned, the impact goes even further 💙

January is not just about starting fast , it’s about starting right.
This month, we focus on "stress reduction and self-reflection" , creating space to pause, reset, and align our minds before the year unfolds. Calm minds make better decisions, stronger plans, and healthier communities. As we begin the year, let’s choose clarity, balance, and intentional growth. 💙🌿

Strategy Before Action. Purpose Before Programs. Impact Before Noise.

At Freed to Heal, this month has been about strategy .

We intentionally paused to plan, reflect, and align, because meaningful mental health work doesn’t happen by chance. It happens by design.

As we prepare to roll out our activities this year, we are:
✔️ Clarifying our goals
✔️ Strengthening our approach
✔️ Aligning our mental health and community impact strategies
✔️ Ensuring sustainability, not just activity

This season of strategy is setting the foundation for effective implementation, deeper impact, and lasting change .

We’re not just doing more ,we’re doing better.

Stay with us as we turn plans into action and vision into healing.
