Zoro and Nubby were friends adopted in the same home. Both had a bad start at life but after rehabilitating them for at least 1 year they finally got a forever home together. I miss you babies but you need you own humans🥺🥺.

Every rainy season, our shelter oftently needs some maintenance, this time we needed a permanent solution to dog beds getting wet from overflown water, we needed to raise them once and for all, we might not be able to control the rain flow, but we can help our animals sleep in a dry place all the time. Pallets were our solution to this problem, having no budget for this, we contacted Petstore Kenya to see if they can assist us with at least 20 pallets, and they accepted our request. This morning we had a surprise of seeing 2 petstore cars on our driveway, and we had no pending order. Surprise 🫣🫣 turns out the pallets were 40 and 4 good warm beds🥺🥺. I was seriously jumping as i was extremely happy, like this was so generous of you thank you so so much. We are truly grateful that you came through for our animals🥰

Every donation makes a huge difference to our shelter.
Pakaandco not only gave us a discount but donated an extra box with 40l to our babies.
I waited to use it to give an honest review and here it is ; It has small clumps after use making it abit sustainable, it had no dust when the cats were using, our place always smelled so fresh as it controlled odor.

This two lovely chaps are in foster homes and are looking for forever homes.
Both are used to being indoor/outdoor and sleeping next to their companions and we would like to rehome them in such a set up too. They are a delight to have and are good with kids. Sandy likes to watch tv occasionally🤣

​Every splash of paint will bring extra comfort and joy to animals in need. The goal is every painted tyre gets lined with a soft blanket to become a warm bed for a shelter animal waiting for a forever home.
​​A massive shoutout to AutoExpress—we asked them for 20 tyres, and they were generous enough to give us double! Now we have plenty of tyres ready to be turned into cozy, colorful beds for our shelter dogs and cats, but we need your family's creative touch to bring them to life

Last week, a call had come through about a dog in desperate need of help in Naivasha. The report was grim, a dog unable to bear weight on her leg and seemed to be in severe pain. First thing that came to mind was a hit and run that left her fractured. When we finally reached her, the reality was even harder than anticipated. Her leg was bruised and as we started to assess the damage, we noticed her elongated teats which meant she was actively nursing.

​The caller hadn't known. We had'nt prepared for it, but there it was. Puppies in a shrub crying waiting for mum who was hoping around in pain. Not one🫠, not two 🙀 but SEVEN 🤯 tiny puppies were there. I was genuinly left in shocked after i remembered we have over 80 dogs at home and 19 puppies. ​Leaving the mother meant a near certain death from infection as wounds were deep, which would spell a quiet, tragic end for her tiny, helpless puppies left behind. Taking her meant taking her entire litter, adding more mouths to feed and urgent medical needs to an already full and fully stretched resources.

​It was a tough choice, but in animal rescue, love always tilts the scale. We choose life. We took the mom and her nursing pups and brought where she could receive the immediate veterinary treatment, warmth, and quiet care she needed to heal and feed her babies safely.​ Her wounds had started to get infected but after a few days of disinfecting, she was stitched.

About 10 days ago, we received this case of a dog with a huge wound on the breast that had started rotting and ticks had found a direct source of blood so they were just suckling it inside the wound😢😢. The car ride to the vet was so hard as the wound rot had am extremely foul smell making it unbearable. After vet assessment, the conclusion backed up by an x-ray is that this was a tumor. Its spread a bit but the blood work shows all the organs are okay and un- affected which means the tumor can be safely removed and extend the dogs life. The dog had a flea allergy as well that is visible in the first photo.

Well i know if i was a defensless and voiceless animal, i would like for someone to give me a chance, the only life she new was a hardship life but her story can change, whether its an extra month, year or years, she will experience our love, warmth, not stressing about the next meal all because we choose to fight for her and with her. Her name is Guyana.🥰
