The session provided a valuable space to exchange experiences, discuss shared challenges, and explore how our collective efforts align in advancing intersex rights and visibility across Africa.

We were honoured to have AIM Board Chair, Obioma Chukwuike, share powerful reflections on movement-building, leadership, and the vital role of community-led organizing.

As KIPC, we look forward to continuing this journey, grounded in trust, community, and hope.

Breaking New Ground for Intersex Rights in Kenya!

Intersex persons in Kenya continue to face marginalization — but change is here.

With support from Jinsiangu Kenya , the Kenya Intersex Persons Consortium (KIPC) held a strategic meeting to formalize its operations and champion a unified, rights-based approach to advocacy.

KIPC is a reflection of a collective vision for stronger governance, visibility, and sustainable impact — rooted in inclusion, accountability, and lived realities.

This is a major step forward in ensuring intersex voices are not just heard but lead the way.

Kenya Intersex Persons Consortium (KIPC) recently visited Kp Consortium and held a powerful strategic movement-building workshop to amplify the intersex rights movement in Kenya.
Through shared learning, capacity development, and deep dialogue, the visit focused on
✅Strengthening intersex representation.
✅Advancing gender-responsive frameworks.
✅Promoting awareness & knowledge- sharing.
✅Empowering intersex youth leadership.
✅Engaging in National, global and regional advocacy.

This gathering marks a bold step toward a unified, resilient intersex movement capable of driving real social change and inclusion.

This engagement marks a powerful step toward building a cohesive, resilient intersex movement one informed by GALCK+’s journey through financial, political, and leadership challenges.

For Movement-building to navigating external threats, the session offered valuable insights into sustainability, inclusion, and advocacy.
