Tegla Loroupe Peace Foundation Chairperson Amb. Tegla Loroupe has called for sustained support to refugees and vulnerable families in Kakuma and Dadaab settlements amid shrinking humanitarian funding.
With support from the National Olympic Committee of Kenya, the foundation distributed food items to athletes, elders, and vulnerable groups at the Kakuma Settlement Scheme.
Loroupe urged the Government of Kenya, development partners, donors, and philanthropists to continue supporting displaced families, warning that funding reductions could affect access to essential services.
Kakuma Settlement Officer Kipngeno Siele said the settlement hosts about 315,000 refugees and asylum seekers from Burundi, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Somalia.

National Environment Trust Fund recently organized a training for youth and women in Sigor, West Pokot, with the active engagement of community change agents from TLPF. The training covered tree planting, sustainable land management, hive management, the honey value chain, and bee-friendly farming practices including the importance of floral plants, clean water, minimizing disturbance, and reducing pesticide use.

A big thank you to the TLPF community change agents, trainers, facilitators, and all participants who made this a success. Together, we are building resilient communities and restoring ecosystems across West Pokot!

We are honoured to have been part of the sports demonstration event held alongside the Africa Forward Summit 2026 in Nairobi — a landmark gathering that brought together Heads of State and global leaders, including President William Ruto and President Emmanuel Macron of France.
As leaders convened to shape the continent's future, sport took its rightful place at the heart of the conversation — a testament to its enduring power as a tool for unity, development, and diplomacy.
For over two decades, the Tegla Loroupe Peace Foundation has championed the belief that sport transcends borders, builds bridges, and transforms communities. Seeing this vision reflected on an international stage reaffirms our commitment to peace through sport across Africa and beyond.

We are proud to announce the Mother's Day Peace Football Tournament, a landmark initiative organized by TLPF, CRF and other major partners in celebration of the incredible mothers from Nairobi's informal settlements.
This tournament goes beyond football — it is a powerful platform for peace, community cohesion, and the recognition of women who are the backbone of their communities every single day.

The top-performing teams from this Nairobi Edition will earn a historic opportunity to travel to West Pokot, where they will compete against local women in a cross-regional match that champions unity and solidarity across Kenya.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all participating mothers, our partners, and everyone who believes in the transformative power of sport.
To every mother on and off the pitch — Happy Mother's Day. Your strength moves us. Your resilience inspires us. Today, we celebrate YOU.

The Tegla Loroupe Peace Foundation proudly congratulates Sebastian Sawe for making history by breaking the Marathon World Record and going under 2 hours at the London Marathon 🇰🇪.

A monumental achievement that builds on the legacy of Eliud Kipchoge, whose groundbreaking sub-2-hour run during the INEOS 1:59 Challenge proved that truly, No Human Is Limited.

Kenya continues to lead, inspire, and redefine endurance on the global stage 🇰🇪

In Sigor and Orwa - West Pokot County, targeted dialogue sessions were successfully conducted to strengthen trust and confidence between the Police, National Police Reserve (NPR), and local community members. The initiative brought together 60 carefully selected participants drawn equally from the three groups for open, facilitated conversations focused on mutual understanding, collaboration, and shared responsibility.
Through structured discussions, joint problem-solving exercises, and interactive sessions, participants identified barriers to cooperation and developed practical ways to enhance communication and coordination.
The primary goal was to foster a closer working relationship between the community and duty bearers, promoting a culture where rights are respected and protected by all. These engagements contributed to reduced tensions, improved information sharing, and a stronger foundation for collaborative security and peacebuilding efforts in the area.
