On March 16, 2025, St. Andrew’s Church in Nakasongola hosted the first-ever Ruruuli-language church service in the Church of Uganda Archdeaconry. For the first time, Baruuli worshippers heard Scripture, sang hymns, and prayed in their heart language!
Clergy, politicians, and community members gathered in joy—dancing, laughing, and celebrating this powerful moment of spiritual and cultural restoration.
His Royal Highness King Mwogezi Butamanya Constantine Isabaruuli, graced the service, praising the resilience of the Baruuli people and the importance of preserving their language.
