At around midnight goons invaded a residential plot around St. Alloys primary school in Mukuru kwa Njenga, violently evicting 15 tenants. They reportedly removed doors from their houses, stole tenants belongings, and attempted to r**e one woman.

What makes this even more disturbing is that the plot owner had repeatedly reported threats to the police, with 30 OB numbers recorded, yet no meaningful action appears to have been taken.

How many warnings are enough? How many people must suffer before the police act?

Are goons becoming more powerful than the police?

The safety and dignity of Mukuru residents cannot be left at the mercy of criminals and impunity. The state must protect people, investigate these threats, recover stolen property and hold those responsible accountable. We must protect the rule of law before it becomes too weak to protect us.We demands immediate action and justice for the affected families.

Today as we mark the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances, we stands with survivors and families still searching for truth and justice. No one should disappear at the hands of the state. We demand the criminalization of enforced disappearance, accountability and justice for all victims.
