Commendable step by the Football Kenya Federation in ensuring accessibility for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) at the stadium 👏🏾.

Creating inclusive spaces where every fan can enjoy the game without barriers is the true spirit of football. At Wadau Connect, we are equally committed to engaging more PWDs in football, whether as fans, players, or community leaders.

Accessibility is not just about entry into stadiums, it’s about opening doors for participation, representation, and belonging.

Let’s keep championing inclusivity on and off the pitch!

Persons with Disabilities (PWDS) are welcome to attend tomorrow’s Kenya vs Seychelles match at Kasarani, as well as future games.

Designated seating is available at Sections 5 & 13 (with ramps), car access for PWDS is through Gates 6 & 12, & VIP/VVIP lifts are also accessible.

Globally, stadiums host multiple events which generate diverse revenue - but the pitch is always protected with turf covers, rotation systems, and strict regulations.

In Kenya, we’ve spent billions renovating spaces like Kasarani and Nyayo, yet these same pitches double as concert floors with zero safeguards. Each event undoing millions of shillings in public investment.

We can’t talk about hosting AFCON or other Major Sporting Events while destroying the very fields we need. Kenya must enforce mandatory turf protection, regulate non-sport use, and demand real accountability. Our football future depends on it.

There is a lot of talent at the grassroots, and as stakeholders, we truly appreciate the excellent work that former players like Stephen Ocholla are doing. It’s inspiring to see him mentoring upcoming footballers at the grassroots level, helping to nurture the next generation of talent.
