Yesterday, we celebrated one of the largest cohorts we've ever hosted since launching our Transformational Leadership Conversations (TLC) last year. Our 20th cohort brought together 150 students and youth leaders from Busia, Bungoma, Kakamega, Vihiga, Machakos, Makueni, Kitui, Embu, Meru, Tharaka Nithi, and Laikipia Counties.

These were not just numbers to fill a room, but diverse voices and differing ideologies under one roof. We brought them together to challenge each other, learn, and unlearn their truths and realities. Through our facilitators, we exposed them to the many facts that shape the world of governance, and we watched as they developed solutions among themselves on how best to change this country.

As we wind down our TLC program, with this being the second-to-last cohort before we take a break we are reminded of the many young people who have undergone this transformation. We are filled with high hopes that these game changers will drive meaningful change from the grassroots level to national and global spaces.

Today, we held a high-level strategic engagement with Ms. Caroline Maina, CEO of STEMlens Network, at our Headquarters.

STEMlens Network is a global initiative advancing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education and innovation through hands-on workshops, structured mentorship, global learning expeditions, and interdisciplinary platforms such as ArtScience Collaboratorium and SpaceQuest. Their work continues to shape a generation of creative, technologically empowered problem-solvers.

The meeting provided a valuable platform to explore key areas of collaboration, including:

- Joint STEAM capacity-building programs for student leaders
- Mentorship and innovation pathways for young people
- Integration of STEAM-focused engagements within our upcoming summits and conventions
- Development of a long-term partnership framework to strengthen youth leadership and transformative education

This engagement marks a significant step toward expanding opportunities for our members within the STEAM ecosystem and reinforcing our commitment to organized youth leadership for sustainable impact.

Yesterday we celebrated over 120 game-changers drawn from Narok, Kajiado, Nandi, Bomet, and Samburu Counties. We are now releasing them to serve as catalysts for change in their counties and home areas after a week of critical conversations on leadership.

Our Transformational Leadership Conversations have always been designed to help these young leaders realize and define their purpose in life and especially in leadership because when you know your purpose and why you chose to lead, it becomes easier to chart your leadership journey and drive meaningful change in your role.

Our team, led by Chairperson David Musongori, paid a courtesy call to the Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Hon. Mary Muthoni, CBS. We explored exciting opportunities for collaboration to strengthen national awareness and prevention efforts on to***co, ni****ne, drug, and substance abuse. Through our flagship programs, we believe young people can lead the charge in advocacy, education, and grassroots behavior change!

We also delved into several key areas during our discussion. This included partnerships in mental health awareness programs targeting youth across the country. We covered updates on scholarship opportunities from the State Department for youth and student leaders. Additionally, we talked about support for football tournaments and youth sports as powerful platforms for anti-to***co, ni****ne, drug, and substance abuse messaging.

We explored joint public health outreach during our Ground Zero events in counties or those led by the State Department. Finally, we extended an invitation for Hon. Muthoni to grace the ACSP-Kenya Female Leaders Dinner – “SHE DID IT – HOW” as Chief Guest, alongside our ACSP-Kenya Patron, Ms. Charlene Ruto, on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 3:00 PM EAT.

We're thrilled about these partnerships and the positive impact they'll have on our communities!

Stepping out onto the field not just to work out or exercise, but to bring into reality the many lessons learned during the week. The games and activities reflect key areas that resonate with our resolutions, such as how best to implement these lessons through collaboration, teamwork, and honesty.

These aspects stand out in the activities, as we rely on each other to complete puzzles and coordinate to achieve better results. Therefore, this is a rallying call to young people: if we don't organize, strategize, and coordinate with teamwork, it's hard to achieve our goal of driving positive change in the country.

We are proud to announce the signing of a Strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with The Global NGO Stakeholders Summit at the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE).

This landmark partnership, witnessed by our Patron Ms. Charlene Ruto, our President Mr. David Msongori, and Summit Chair Mr. Tuva Adams Tuva, opens powerful new doors for Kenyan students and young leaders. Through this collaboration, ACSP-KE members will directly benefit from enhanced platforms for youth leadership, governance training, entrepreneurship opportunities, climate action initiatives, and sustainable livelihood programs within the broader NGO and development ecosystem.

Young people will now have a stronger, more meaningful seat at the table actively shaping development solutions, accessing high-level networks, and driving real impact across Kenya and Africa.

As we count down to World NGO Day on 27th February, this MOU reaffirms our commitment: youth voices are not just heard they are empowered to lead.
