Most pitch decks don't fail because the business is weak. They fail because the deck gets in the way.
After working with green and climate founders across East Africa, we keep seeing the same four mistakes — across sectors, stages, and funding types. The good news is they're all fixable.

Swipe through to see what they are and how to address them.

Kalobeyei Organization for Behavioral Change wrapped up their 3rd Climate Fresk Workshop of the year in Kalobeyei settlement in Kakuma, Turkana on Saturday 16th May.

12 young people spent the session mapping the science of climate change together — tracing causes, effects, and what it all means for communities like Kalobeyei. Watching this happen in Turkana, where climate impacts are anything but theoretical, makes the work feel urgent and real.

Well done to the KOBC team and all the facilitators and participants who showed up.

Block 2 of Climate Futurepreneurs Machakos is done! 🔥🌍

Over two packed days, our Machakos cohort moved from ideas to action, building and simulating their first prototypes, mapping customer journeys, stress-testing their assumptions, and running the numbers on whether their solutions can actually survive in the real world.

Every team is now heading into the field with a test plan, a prototype, and one clear question to answer before Block 3. The real work starts now.

The way most businesses operate has a silent flaw. 🔄
Extract. Make. Sell. Dispose. Repeat.

It worked for decades, but the cracks are showing. 6 out of 9 planetary boundaries have already been crossed. Resources are getting scarcer. Regulations are tightening. And the businesses that don’t adapt will be the ones left behind.
The linear economy isn’t just bad for the planet, it’s becoming bad for business. 🌍

But there’s a smarter way to build. One where waste becomes value, resources stay in play, and your business is designed to last.
Swipe to understand the system most businesses are running on — and why the shift is already happening. ➡️
