Congratulations Mediators! 👏🏾✨

We proudly celebrated the graduation of our
CPM Cohort, Certified Professional Mediators, professionals who made a conscious decision to go beyond conflict resolution and learn how to mediate matters involving persons with disabilities with dignity, accessibility, empathy, and inclusion at the center.

In the room were gender justice champions from , sign language interpreters, Pwds, social workers, teachers — all united by one belief: that justice must be accessible, human-centered, and inclusive for all.

This is a movement of professionals committed to inclusive justice, equitable systems, and dignity for every voice at the table.

Thank you to Kenya Community Support Centre (KECOSCE) for entrusting Disability Justice and Mediation Africa (DIJMA Africa) with the facilitation of this important Certified Professional Mediation training for women leaders under the IMARISHA Project.

We are equally grateful to the Embassy of Denmark in Kenya and Somalia through Act Change Transform (ACT!), for the support that made this initiative possible and for investing in women-led peacebuilding and community leadership.

It was also an honour to have the Mombasa County CECM for Department of Youth, Gender, Sports and Social Services - Mombasa County Jonathan Kutosi Wepukhulu join the graduation and share his experience and encouragement with the newly certified mediators.

We equally appreciate the Executive Director of HAKI YETU for joining us and challenging the women to put their mediation skills into practice within their communities.

To every woman who completed the programme: congratulations. You leave not only as trained mediators, but as stronger leaders, peacebuilders and agents of dialogue within your communities.

At Disability Justice and Mediation Africa , we remain committed to building a generation of mediators who can transform conflict, strengthen communities and expand access to peaceful dispute resolution.

Providing a sign language interpreter does not automatically make a justice process accessible.
