Today, we joined the First Lady of Kakamega County Madam Janet Baraza at the Menstrual Hygiene and Teenage Pregnancy Awareness.

We are glad to join other community leaders, educators, young people, and stakeholders to champion dignity, awareness, and safe spaces for girls and adolescents.

The conversations around menstrual health, access to information, mentorship, and the prevention of teenage pregnancies are critical in building healthier, empowered, and resilient communities. 💙

Earlier today, we attended a policy brief engagement in Kakamega County focused on governance, accountability, and access to justice for women and survivors of gender-based violence that brought together organizations and practitioners working in the social justice sector in Kakamega

The discussions reflected realities many communities know too well: survivors often face silence, limited information, weak referral systems, and services that do not always meet the urgency of their needs. Rising cases of violence remind us that policy must be matched with practical action at community level.

Protecting women and girls is not only a justice issue but a community responsibility that requires stronger collaboration between government, civil society, religious leaders, and citizens to ensure that there is a safer and more accountable communities for all.
