Today, we bid farewell to Albert Bunyasi, a remarkable individual who touched many lives with his kindness, dedication, and impactful work. As we celebrate his legacy, we invite those who knew him, worked alongside him, or were inspired by his journey to join us in paying their last respects.
The burial ceremony is underway, and a livestream is available for those unable to attend in person.

Spotlight on Mycotoxins: A Critical Food Safety Concern
Today at the BMAK-HSP workshop in Naivasha, we had the privilege of listening to an enlightening presentation by Professor Sheila Okoth on the topic:
"Occurrence of Natural Toxins in Foods: Specific Focus on Mycotoxins and Their Effects."
Professor Okoth shed light on the prevalence of mycotoxins in our food systems, their far-reaching health impacts, and the urgent need for proactive detection and management strategies. Her insights underscored the importance of addressing these natural toxins to enhance food safety and safeguard public health.
This session not only deepened our understanding of biosecurity challenges but also sparked important discussions on collaborative solutions for mitigating the risks associated with mycotoxins.
