On 28th May 2026, Goal4Initiative took another important step in strengthening foundational learning at Empeut Primary School in Kajiado County.

We delivered the first batch of learning materials and teaching aids to the ECDE Centre, supporting 65 learners in PP1 and PP2, as well as the three ECDE teachers who guide them every day.

The learning materials included textbooks, pencils, crayons, and a variety of play-based resources designed to enrich early learning experiences. The teaching aids included assorted charts, chalk, whiteboard markers, ECDE workbooks, and other classroom resources to support effective teaching and learning.

We also officially launched the ECDE Feeding Program in partnership with Cup of Uji. Through this initiative, all 65 ECDE learners now receive a cup of fortified uji every school day, helping to create a stronger foundation for learning, growth, and wellbeing.

Joining us for this milestone were Mr. Joel Ndukanio, Head Teacher of Empeut Primary School; Rev. Paul Suntai, Chair of the Board of Management; members of the Board; ECDE parents; ECDE teachers; and Mr. Francis Amonde, Founder and Executive Director of Cup of Uji.

Together, we are building stronger learning environments where every child has the opportunity to learn, belong, and thrive.

We celebrate the dreams carried by every child, the resilience they demonstrate every day, and the limitless potential they hold when given the opportunity to learn, belong, and thrive.

As we reflect on the progress made and the work that remains, we are reminded that every child deserves access to quality education, safe learning environments, and the support needed to reach their full potential.

At Goal4Initiative, we remain committed to building foundations that shape the future by creating inclusive learning opportunities for children across our communities.

Because every African child deserves not only to attend school, but to thrive in it.

Today, we turn 2.

What began as a simple but powerful belief — that where a child starts should not determine where they end — has continued to grow into a journey of building stronger learning environments where children can learn, belong, and thrive.

Over the last two years, we have worked alongside schools, educators, caregivers, communities, volunteers, and partners to advance inclusive education, strengthen foundational learning, and support children in underserved communities.

As we celebrate this milestone, we are reminded that meaningful change is built patiently, collaboratively, and consistently.

To every learner, teacher, caregiver, volunteer, Dream Builder, partner, and friend of Goal4Initiative — thank you for walking this journey with us.

Two years later, the mission remains clear:

Behind every child learning, growing, and thriving is someone who kept showing up.

Today, we celebrate the mothers, guardians, and caregivers whose love, sacrifice, patience, and strength shape the foundations children stand on every day.

To the mothers raising children against difficult odds.
To the mothers advocating for children with disabilities.

Children learn best where they feel safe, supported, and seen.

Learning environments shape more than academic outcomes. They shape confidence, belonging, emotional wellbeing, and the ability of a child to fully participate in learning.

Across many underserved communities, too many children continue to learn in spaces that do not adequately support their growth and wellbeing.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we are reminded that creating safe learning environments is not optional. It is foundational.

Yet across many underserved communities, thousands of children continue to learn in environments that limit their potential before it is even discovered.

Today, we celebrate the hands that shape the future—quietly, consistently, and often without recognition.

The ECDE teachers who lay the very first foundations of learning.
The special education teachers who ensure no child is left behind.
The caregivers who show up every day with patience, strength, and love.

This is not just work.
This is nation-building.
