Yesterday, together with Waziri Organization team, we had the honor of a consultative meeting with Her Excellency Mrs. Inés For Fernández, the Ambassador of Cuba to Kenya, during a courtesy call centered on youth involvement and partnership in the international political space.

Our collective dialogue highlighted the importance of empowering young people to take part in shaping global cooperation, fostering peace, and strengthening international ties. This engagement reflects not only my personal commitment, but also the shared vision of the Waziri Organization to amplify youth voices and build bridges across nations.

Today I came across a heartbreaking sight young person, intoxicated and lying helplessly in a sewer. It was a painful reminder of how drug and alcohol abuse can strip away dignity, health, and hope. My message to the youth is this, drugs may promise escape, but in reality they lead to destruction, wasted potential, and broken futures. You are the leaders of tomorrow, and your strength lies in staying sober, focused, and determined. Choose life, choose purpose, and let us build a generation that uplifts rather than destroys itself.

Yesterday, our Founder Hon Steve Giro , representing Waziri Organization , honored the Embu Tertiary Students Association Annual General Meeting, where over 800 vibrant young people gathered in unity and purpose.

In his address, he shed light on the urgent dangers facing youth who fall into destructive habits within our communities. With clarity and conviction, he reminded us that every young person holds the power to rise above these challenges and become a beacon of hope.

He emphasized that true empowerment begins with discipline, vision, and collective responsibility. By choosing paths of growth, education, and positive engagement, the youth can transform not only their own lives but also the destiny of our nation.

Today, Waziri Organization was honored to participate in the Elevate Blue training at Henesis Hotel, Ngara an inspiring gathering of young entrepreneurs committed to shaping the future of the blue economy.

Our team joined a vibrant cohort of changemakers for a powerful session on Product Design and Human-Centered Design, led by expert trainer Declan Magero. The training emphasized designing solutions that truly serve communities, with practical insights into innovation, problem-solving, and customer engagement.

We are grateful to Norad the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation and MTI Investment for supporting this transformative initiative, which aligns deeply with our mission to empower youth and foster sustainable development.

🇹🇿 Message of Solidarity with the People of Tanzania

Our hearts beat with Tanzania today. As neighbors, as Africans, and as believers in true democracy, we cannot remain silent when the torch of freedom flickers in the land of Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere.

Nyerere did not fight for power he fought for people. He envisioned a Tanzania where every citizen, regardless of tribe or tongue, could walk tall in dignity. His dream was Ujamaa a society built on familyhood, justice, and self-reliance. He believed that democracy was not just elections, but the daily practice of equality, dialogue, and shared responsibility.

He said: “Since we were humiliated as Africans, we must rise as Africans.” And rise he did uniting a nation, resisting imperialism, and championing pan-African unity. His legacy is not just in history books, but in the hearts of those who still believe in a free, united Africa.

Today, if that legacy is threatened by violence, division, or suppression we must speak. Not to interfere, but to remind: True democracy is not silence in the face of suffering. It is standing up, even when it is uncomfortable.

To the youth of Tanzania we see you. To the elders we honor you. To the leaders we urge you protect the dignity of your people. Let the spirit of Nyerere guide you back to dialogue, justice, and peace.

And to all of us across borders: let us not be passive witnesses. Let us be active brothers and sisters. For when one African nation bleeds, the continent aches.

May the torch of Uhuru burn bright again. May Tanzania rise in unity, truth, and healing.
