Young people from Mandera North recently came together to share ideas, experiences, and solutions that will shape the future of the Digital Peace and Climate Resilience Academy.

Their contributions will help ensure that the programme responds directly to community realities and the aspirations of local youth.
The future is stronger when young people help design it.

Youth Voices Driving Action in Mandera North

ERGO International Peace Initiative is currently convening a co-creation workshop under the AU–EU Youth Lab Project, bringing together young people from Mandera North to co-design the Digital Peace and Climate Resilience Academy curriculum.

Through interactive dialogue and collaborative sessions, youth are identifying priority areas and shaping practical modules that strengthen digital skills, advance peacebuilding, and build climate resilience in their communities.

This engagement is reinforcing our participatory approach, ensuring young people are not just beneficiaries, but co-designers of solutions shaping their future.

Together with partners, we are building a youth-led platform for innovation, peace, and resilience in Mandera North.

As we gear up for an interactive engagement with youths in Mandera North to Co-create the Digital Peace and Climate Resilience Academy training curriculum, we had the pleasure of meeting the Deputy County Commissioner Justin Maina Kamau at his office in Rhamu Town, Mandera North Constituency.

At ERGO International Peace Initiative, we believe in consultative and joint initiatives to promote Peace and enhance the community's capacity to tackle challenges.

We took the opportunity to brief the DCC of the AU-EU Youth Lab project and our agenda to enhance the capacity of youths in Digital Skills, Peacebuilding and Climate Resilience. He assured us his support towards achieving the project objectives.

Tomorrow marks a significant milestone in implementing the programme. At the co-creation workshop, we will give it to the youths in Mandera North to take charge of designing the modules which will empower them to a more peaceful and climate resilient community.

CALL FOR YOUTH PARTICIPATION IN MANDERA NORTH CONSTITUENCY

Are you passionate about creating positive change in your community? Are you aged 18-35 years? This is your opportunity to be part of an innovative youth-led conversation shaping the future of Mandera County.

ERGO International Peace Initiative invites young people from Mandera North Constituency to participate in the Youth Co-Creation Workshop under the Program.

Register to be part of the 200 Youth to be trained in 4 cohorts over the next 12 months. Together, we will co-create a youth-centered curriculum focused on:
1. Digital Skills
2. Peacebuilding & Conflict Resolution
3. Climate Resilience

This interactive workshop will bring together young leaders, students, innovators, activists, and community members to share ideas, experiences, and strengthen community resilience.

We are honored to be one of the recipients of the AU-EU Youth Lab Cohort 2 Innovation grant.

Our project "Digital Peace and Climate Resilience" will equip 200 youth from marginalized communities in Mandera North over the next 12 months on digital skills, peacebuilding and climate resilient programmes.

This transformational project means a great deal to ERGO, youth-led and youth serving organizations in marginalized communities to scale impact and drive sustainable social change at the grassroots level.

Our second day capacity building training concluded with Monitoring and Evaluation training facilitated by SAMUEL RANGWA who is a seasoned MEAL expert.

The team did experiential learning exercises that covered the full cycle of M&E processes strengthening their knowledge, skills and existing internal systems for effective results based delivery.
