LORD, TEACH OUR CHILDREN RESPONSIBILITY AND CHARACTER

“For each man will have to bear his own load.”

Reflection

Love without discipline can become indulgence.

Discipline without love can become cruelty.

Christian parenting seeks both.

We pray that our children will become responsible human beings.

Let them learn that actions have consequences.

Let them learn to keep promises.

Let them respect other people's property.

Let them work.

Let them serve.

Let them apologise.

Let them accept correction.

Let them become people of integrity when nobody is watching.

Our prayer is not simply:

“Lord, make my child successful.”

It is:

“Lord, make my child trustworthy.”

Prayer

Father, form the character of our children.

Teach them honesty.

Teach them responsibility.

Teach them discipline.

Teach them respect.

Teach them humility.

Teach them hard work.

Teach them compassion.

Give parents wisdom to correct without destroying.

Give children humility to receive correction.

May our children become men and women whose words can be trusted and whose lives can be respected.

WHAT GOD IS SAYING TO YOU THIS TUESDAY AND THIS NEW MONTH

My child, welcome to a new day and a new month.

Do not enter September carrying fear because of what happened before.

You may not understand everything I am doing right now, but keep trusting Me.

There are things I protected you from that you never saw.

There are doors I closed because I have something better ahead.

There are people I allowed to leave because they could not go with you into the next chapter of your life.

There are delays that protected you from arriving somewhere before you were ready.

Do not call every closed door a rejection.

Sometimes I close a door because I am protecting you.

Do not call every delay a denial.

Sometimes I delay you because I am preparing you.

Do not call every ending a failure.

Sometimes an ending is My way of clearing the path for a new beginning.

My child, I see the entire picture while you only see the piece in front of you.

You are worried about today, but I am already in your tomorrow.

You are asking, “Why did this happen?”

One day you will look back and understand.

You will understand why certain people left.

You will understand why certain doors closed.

You will understand why some plans changed.

You will understand why some prayers were answered differently from what you expected.

I AM CONNECTING THE DOTS.

What does not make sense today will make sense later.

Do not judge My plan by one painful chapter.

Keep walking.

Keep praying.

Keep trusting.

This new month, I am still working behind the scenes.

I am arranging things you cannot yet see.

I am preparing opportunities you have not yet discovered.

I am making a way where you thought there was no way.

Trust Me with the parts you cannot understand yet.

What I have planned for you will not be destroyed by one disappointment.

What I have prepared for you will not pass you by.

Walk into this new month with faith.

Leave the past behind.

Release what I have removed from your life.

Stop forcing doors that I have closed.

And be ready for the new thing I am about to do.

SEPTEMBER WILL NOT END WITHOUT YOU SEEING MY HAND IN YOUR LIFE.

Keep trusting Me.

The dots are still being connected.

And one day, it will all make sense.

MONDAY NIGHT PRAYER

31ST AUGUST – CLOSING AUGUST & WELCOMING SEPTEMBER

“LORD, WE PLACE THE NEW MONTH IN YOUR HANDS”

Heavenly Father,
as this final night of August comes to an end, we kneel before You with grateful hearts.

Thank You for carrying us through this month. Thank You for the days we understood and the days we did not understand. Thank You for answered prayers, unexpected blessings, protection from dangers we never saw, and strength during moments when we wanted to give up.

Lord, tonight we surrender August to You.

We surrender our victories.
We surrender our disappointments.
We surrender our successes and failures.
We surrender our unanswered prayers.
We surrender every burden we have carried throughout this month.

We refuse to carry August's pain into September.

Where we were hurt, give us healing.
Where we were disappointed, restore our hope.
Where we failed, give us another opportunity.
Where relationships were broken, bring reconciliation.
Where we experienced loss, comfort us.

Father, as we prepare to enter September, go before us.

Prepare the way for our families.

Open the doors that are according to Your will and close every door that would lead us away from You.

Bless the work of our hands.
Bless our businesses and employment.
Bless our studies.
Bless our marriages.
Bless our children.
Bless our parents and elderly family members.

Lord, let September be a month of renewed faith, fresh hope, peace, provision and spiritual growth.

For those searching for employment, open the right opportunity.

For those struggling financially, provide a way.

For those waiting for healing, bring strength and restoration.

For families experiencing conflict, restore love and understanding.

For those carrying a prayer that has remained unanswered for a long time, give them the grace to keep trusting Your timing.

Tonight, Lord, we also ask You to protect us throughout the night.

Watch over our homes.

Protect our children.

Guard our families from accidents, evil, violence and every danger.

Give us peaceful sleep and wake us tomorrow with renewed strength and hope.

Grant this through Christ our Lord,

END OF MONTH REFLECTION

INSPIRED BY JOHN 14:12

“YOUR FAMILY IS NOT FINISHED”

As this month comes to an end, some families may feel defeated.

Perhaps August did not go as you planned.

Bills increased.
Business was slow.
A family member became sick.
There were misunderstandings at home.
Children disappointed you.
Doors remained closed.
Prayers seemed unanswered.

You may be asking, “Will things ever change for our family?”

But Jesus says:

“Whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these.”
John 14:12

This means that your present situation is not the final chapter of your family.

Do not allow one difficult month to convince you that God has abandoned you.

The same God who helped you survive previous struggles can still make a way again.

Perhaps you do not have all the answers today. Perhaps your family is tired. Perhaps you have prayed for a long time without seeing the change you hoped for.

But do not give up on one another.

Hold hands again.

Pray together again.

Encourage one another again.

Forgive again.

Start again.

Your family may feel weak today, but weakness is not the end of the story.

As August ends, do not end your hope with it.

WHAT YOU COULD NOT DO BY YOUR OWN STRENGTH, PLACE IN GOD'S HANDS.

With faith, keep moving forward.

With love, stay united.

With prayer, remain close to God.

AUGUST IS ENDING, BUT GOD IS NOT FINISHED WITH YOUR FAMILY.

Greater things are still possible.
