Following his tour of the exhibition grounds, Kenya Sugar Board's Director Sugar Development & AdvisoryServices, Eng. Richard Magero, hosted a luncheon on behalf of the KSB bringing together farmers, industry leaders, and fellow exhibitors in a moment of fellowship and celebration of Kenya's agricultural sector.

The afternoon was crowned with a spectacular arena experience, as Eng. Magero took his seat to witness a stirring performance by the marching bands of the Kenya Police Service, Kenya Wildlife Service, and the General Service Unit (GSU) β€” a display of precision, discipline, and national pride. 🎺πŸ₯

The proceedings drew to a close with the ceremonial bringing down of flags, a fitting and dignified end to a memorable day at the show.

A highlight at the 2026 Western Kenya Kakamega Regional Agricutural Society of Kenya (ASK) Show!
The Kenya Sugar Board was honoured to have the Director of Sugar Development & Advisory Services, Directorate Eng. Richard Magero serve as today's Chief Guest at Kakamega ASK Show.
Eng. Magero was warmly received by the ASK Kakamega Branch Chairperson, Dr. Purity Anyanje and the ASK CEO, Batram M. Muthoka who welcomed him in true Western Kenya fashion β€” with song and dance!

The tour offered Eng. Magero a firsthand look at the agricultural heartbeat of Western Kenya β€” from smallholder farmers and modern tractors redefining field operations, to innovators transforming farming and post-harvest value addition. Each stand told a story of a sector evolving, and he took time to engage and appreciate the strides being made at the grassroots level.
