MISSION STATEMENT:
Arise and Shine Self Help Group is a community based group for the young people. OUR MISSION:
Is to work with the communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth, all Arise and Shine members from Riruta and other parts demonstrate their care and concern through servicer projects in their communities and on a global level. OUR VISION:
Every person has the opportunit
y to achieve his/her fullest potential and participate in and contribute to all aspects of life. Arise and Shine is guided by the saying “ALL HARD WORK BRINGS GAIN BUT EMPTY TALKS LEADS ONLY TO POVERTY.”Every individual has a role to play, every individual should work extra hard to achieve his/her vision. Arise and Shine members learn the importance of caring for others and at the same time develop self –respect confidence in them and hope for the future. Our members learn that working together to make the community a better place is fun. From its beginning in Riruta Setllite in 2013, Arise and Shine has become a greater group both in the community and neighboring surroundings, the flexibility of the program complements the diversity of our members by allowing each Arise and Shine group to plan and implement projects based on its unique interest, resource and community concerns. With 20 members around Riruta, Arise and Shine is an East African program uniting people in the effort to make the world a better place for all youth’s. Arise and Shine works with the community counselor’s and Educators form different self-help groups and NGO’S in program’s that foster awareness of and concern about the environment, its diversity, and the problems’ facing it. It also aims at developing skill’s,knowledge,attitudes,motivation and the community to the youth’s and the environment issue’s Arise and Shine members are empowered to work together individually towards solving existing problems in the community and also preventing future difficulties. To ensure progress of its members by educating them continuously on proper use of credit.
2. To promote the economic interest and general welfare of the members.
3. To provide an opportunity for each member to improve him/her economic and social conditions.
4. To lead and advance money in cash or to give credit to members on fair terms and to guarantee or become security for any member.
5. Provide moral and financial support in the event of death of a member or his/her immediate family member.
6. To carry on trade, business or activity or to do any other thing which can in the opinion of the committee be of benefit to members.
7. To promote co-operation and good will between members and the group.
8. To ensure safety of the members funds through risk management program or many other insurance scheme. The ways that we can work together are diverse.
