He preached the Gospel of the Kingdom to
the poor in spirit and demonstrated it by healing the sick, feeding the hungry, setting free those who were possessed by evil spirits and agitating for that which was right and just for all. In following Jesus’ example, S.I.L.A. seeks to empower God’s people in these diverse ways to the end that God’s people may grow to their fullness in Christ and realize their full potential in God. It is our ambition to work towards transformation of communities for the glory of the Lord. has always endeavored to show empathy to suffering Humanity and has continually responded to the pressing needs of humanity with the ability that the Lord provides. Often times ministry has been narrowed to just the preaching of the Gospel inside a building once in a week. This however is inconsistent with the whole counsel of God as presented by Christ and His apostles. The Apostles were constantly reminded to remember the poor in the course of the preaching of the Gospel. God has the poor at heart and has since the beginning made provision to have their needs made. Whenever Jesus was confronted by physical needs, He responded. Religion fleeces but Christ empowers. Religion takes away what people have but Christ gives liberally to all.
