Futbol Mas, where we use football and play to provide equal opportunities for all, build resilience and create safe spaces for children in the community.

Futbol Mas Kenya believes that every child has the same potential, but not all children have the same opportunities. Bringing our programme to disadvantaged communities we believe in the power of football and positivity to transform realities, trusting in the abilities and resources in the community and in every child. Working with these beliefs, we have been working since 2007 across Latin Americ

a and now Africa to create safe spaces in the community through football, establishing a fun learning environment to develop resilience and life skills. In Kenya we are grateful to our partners Fondo Chile and Fundación Educafrica who believed in this dream and support the start-up of Fútbol Más Kenya.

At FutbolMas, we use football as a tool to teach and to learn—on the field through play, and off the field through real conversations about life, choices, and emotions.

Because many of the young people we work with are carrying more than just a game.

And yet—they show up.
They play. They laugh. They try again.

And somewhere in between, something shifts.
Confidence grows. Voices open. Belonging begins.

This is football for us.

Futbolmas at the Africa Forward Summit – Nairobi University

An unforgettable experience on and off the pitch.
We were honored to be invited to the Africa Forward Summit, where we competed against Angaza and the International French School, finishing strong with a 4–0 win in the finals to take home the gold trophy.
Beyond the game, we had the privilege of meeting President William Ruto, President Emmanuel Macron, and President Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
We also connected with legends Paul Tergat and Tegla Loroupe, alongside Coach Leroy (France), making the experience even more inspiring.
A key highlight was sharing the Green Card philosophy, promoting respect, teamwork, and fair play.

Behind every session on the field is a team most people don’t see.
These are the youths and the community coordination team who work together to plan, create, and support the games we use to teach children life skills through sport. They don’t just show up — they design the sessions, shape the activities, and make sure every child is engaged and learning.
What happens on the field is only possible because of what happens behind the scenes.
We appreciate this team for the time, effort, and consistency they put into making futbolmas what it is. ⚽🤍

Not even the weather could stop us today.

As we step into the second term, we do so with renewed energy, clarity, and purpose. The holidays gave us a moment to pause — to rest, reflect, and realign ourselves with why we started this journey in the first place. And now, we’re back… stronger, more focused, and more intentional than ever.

Every new term is more than just a return to routine for us. It’s another opportunity to reach more children, to create safer spaces, to have deeper conversations, and to continue shaping lives in ways that truly matter. It’s about showing up consistently, even when it’s not easy — even when the weather tries to slow us down — because the mission is bigger than any obstacle.

We are excited to reconnect with the children in our schools, to listen, to guide, and to walk alongside them as they grow. This term, we are not just aiming to show up — we are aiming to impact, to inspire, and to leave a lasting difference in every space we step into.

A Moment of Honour & Impact🏆

We are truly humbled and excited to share that we have been recognised at the Laurel Awards under the category of Sports for Good.

This award is more than a trophy—it is a reminder that what we are building, what we are pouring our energy into, is not in vain. It is impactful. It is meaningful. And it is being seen beyond us, reaching communities and conversations around the world.

As a global organisation, we were proudly represented by five representatives from different countries where Futbol Mas exists. Each one carried our story, our mission, and our collective effort with so much pride.

A big thank you to everyone who continues to believe in this journey, support the vision, and walk with us as we use sport as a tool for change, growth, and connection.

We dedicate this recognition to every young person whose life we hope to impact through the game.

Through the power of sport, we continue to create safe spaces, build confidence, and nurture hope among young people in Mathare, Kibera, and Kakuma.

From the fields of Mathare to the communities in Kibera, and all the way to Kakuma—where resilience is a daily reality—we are using sports not just to play, but to teach life skills, promote peace, and bring people together.

Every game played is more than just a match.
It is a lesson in teamwork.
A moment of healing.
A chance to belong.

Sometimes, a crayon can say more than words.
In our last session, the children drew and coloured images representing Futbol Mas values — teamwork, respect, joy, and friendship.
Through creativity, they shared their understanding, their feelings, and their experiences. It was a beautiful reminder that when children are given a safe space, they don’t just learn values — they express and live them.
Beyond football, we are nurturing confident, expressive, and value-driven young leaders.

What started as the first sessions has now grown into something consistent, something the children look forward to every time we show up.
From Mathare to Kibera to Kakuma — the same life skills, the same safe space, the same energy.
And the joy?
It’s real.
The children are fully engaged, participating, expressing themselves, and truly enjoying the sessions. Seeing them open up, laugh, and learn together reminds us why consistency matters.
We’re not just running activities.
We’re building confidence, connection, and emotional skills — one session at a time.
