Every girl deserves a space where she feels seen, heard, and empowered. Our girls' football tournament in Kibra was more than a sporting event it was an opportunity to show young girls that they have the power to lead, resolve conflicts peacefully, and shape the future of their communities.

By integrating Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) into the tournament, we turned every match into a lesson in respect, communication, teamwork, and peaceful coexistence. The girls didn't just compete for goals they discovered that true strength is found in listening, understanding, and working together.

For us as an organization, the day reaffirmed that investing in girls is investing in stronger, more peaceful communities. We witnessed confidence grow, friendships form, and young leaders emerge. We are excited to build on this momentum through more initiatives that equip girls with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to become champions of peace and positive change!

FINAL DAY, Lasting Impact. 🤝🌍

Today marked the successful conclusion of our Mediation Training. Over the past two days, we have gained valuable knowledge, strengthened our skills, and deepened our understanding of Mediation.

Mediation is a voluntary and structured process in which a neutral third party helps people in conflict communicate effectively, understand one another, and work toward mutually acceptable solutions.

As this training comes to an end, our participants are equipped to facilitate mutual understanding in communities , rebuild relationships and ready to become agents of peace in our communities.

The sessions may be over, but the responsibility to promote understanding, resolve conflicts peacefully, and build stronger relationships continues with young peace at the table.

DAY 1 of our Online Mediation Training is complete!

Today, we explored the mediation process, gaining practical insights into the role of mediators, effective communication, active listening, and peaceful conflict resolution.

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from experienced facilitators and engage with fellow participants from across the region. Looking forward to tomorrow's session as we continue building our mediation skills.

Yesterday, IPHRD Africa joined partners at the High-Level Breakfast Dialogue organized by the International Gender Champions at World Vision International, Karen, under the theme: "Elevating Female Faith Leaders' Voices in Ending Gender-Based Violence."

The dialogue reminded us that ending GBV is a shared responsibility that requires the commitment of governments, faith institutions, civil society, communities, and individuals. Powerful discussions highlighted the need to end victim blaming, strengthen faith leaders' capacity to support survivors with dignity, address the growing challenge of Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV), and recognize the value of combining the wisdom of older generations with the innovation of young people. We also celebrated the role of women in reshaping narratives and affirmed that children thrive in homes free from violence.

As the dialogue concluded, partners committed to empowering young women and children with digital skills, strengthening research on survivor-centered responses, building multisector partnerships, and coordinating efforts to end GBV. Together, we can create safer, more inclusive communities where every woman and girl lives free from violence in Africa.
