The Bible may not mention the word “autism,” but it speaks powerfully about God’s love and purpose for all people!

Genesis 1:27 tells us that every person is created in the image of God. That means people who have autism undoubtedly bear his image and are part of his divine plan.

If you have autism, know this:
🧡 You are fearfully and wonderfully made
🧩 You were created for God’s glory
🙌 Your life has purpose and meaning found in Christ

Ultimately, those with disabilities and differences do not diminish God’s purpose—they are part of it! This Autism Acceptance Month, let’s celebrate the unique design and intentional purpose God has for every person!

Managing My Expectations as a Caregiver

Let me be honest—I’ve had so many expectations as a caregiver. Expectations from myself, my family, my husband, and even the community at large.

I expected people to treat my son a certain way. I expected my family to support me in a specific way. I expected society to embrace my son’s challenges with understanding.

But the truth? Many of these expectations weren’t met. And it made me question—are expectations unfair? Are they necessarily bad?

What I’ve learned in this season is contentment. Every act of support, no matter how small, is a blessing. Instead of being weighed down by unmet expectations, I choose to see the love I do receive and be grateful for it.

Expectations, when unchecked, can strain relationships. That’s why we shouldn’t carry a spirit of entitlement but instead view everything as a gift from God.
